Canberra is one of the smallest cities in Australia.  It is having a population just over 3 lakh. Canberra experiences temperatures as low as freezing in winter and averages in the high 20s (Celsius) at summer. Canberra is the capital city of Australia. There are many institutions present here such as Australian War Memorial, National Library etc. On the north side there are lot of shopping and commercial areas. There are many suburbs in Canberra. The most popular place to live is Ainslie and O Connor. Many families are living here.

Canberra is an easy city to navigate. Many residents walk or cycle to work. There are no traffic jam because its a small city. There is an local bus network extension present here for general public. Train stations and interstate buses are also available here. A large part of people in Australia are working for government. There are also some portion of people working for private sector. The unemployment is very low here and hence it attracts more migrants.

There are many universities in Canberra. The University of Canberra (UC) and the Australian National University (ANU) offers many courses in degree level as well as in post graduate level. ANU is one of the top universities in the world. These universities attract huge student populations. Other educational institutes are follows, The Australian International Hotel School (AIHS),  Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) etc. Canberra is one of the most affordable state with good rent and property price.
